Vitamin D is so important for our immune system.  Those who are low in vitamin D or live in northern latitudes may be at risk.

A new study done in England on elderly adults showed that those whose vitamin D levels were severely deficient were twice as likely as those with the highest levels to get respiratory disease.

The authors believe that adequate levels of D may help support the body with respiratory infections.
