Omega-3’s & Smoking

The best advice to give anyone who smokes is to quit.  It can have a negative effect on many aspects of your health, including cardiovascular health.

A new study looked into whether or not fish oil could support heart health in smokers.  They had people who were current smokers either take a placebo or fish oil for 4 weeks.

They measured their arterial function and found that fish oil supplementation reduced the negative impact of smoking on blood flow.
