SULFORAPHANE

Antioxidant & Detox

Sulforaphane is a molecule found in raw cruciferous vegetables such as  Broccoli, Kale, Brussel Sprouts and highest of all in Broccoli Sprouts.  There are also supplements that contain its active molecule Glucoraphanin and the enzyme Myrosinase that converts it to sulforaphane.   It is one of the best molecules to activate the body’s own protective antioxidants.  Sulforaphane assists in the normal detox process in the liver that breakdowns harmful chemicals like pesticides, hormones and medications that accumulate in the body.

Additional Researched Benefits:

  • Reduced Obesity by promoting browning of white body fat tissue which increases caloric expenditure.
  • Neuroprotective by reactivating activity in the neurons which benefits brain cell health and reduced risk of neurodegeneration.
  • Retinal Diseases showed reduction of macular degeneration and diabetes retinopathy risk by increasing antioxidants that lowered free radical activity (oxidation).
  • Benefited Aging by eliminating age-related oxidized or misfolded proteins from the cells promoting longevity and improved health.

New Ongoing Research…

Sulforaphane is currently in clinical trials for breast, lung, prostate health, autism and schizophrenia.
